Abstract

The professional aims to develop knowledge that serve to clarify and guide practice discipline; in the field of nursing is the care, which enables you to master the events linked to the professional experience. The development of the discipline should be based on the reality of the profession, from she is constructed scientifi cally the knowledge and applied systematically in the assistance, contrasts, validated, and produces a feedback process, between the theoretical knowledge and your link in practice. The professional nurse is to develop knowledge that serve to clarify and guide nursing practice. In the field of nursing is taking care, which allows to master the events that are related to professional experience. The disciplinary development must start from the reality of the profession, as it is from it that builds knowledge scientifi cally and is systematically applied in assistance; also, it is contrasted, validated and a feedback process between knowledge and its relationship with the practice occurs. The case study allows us to assess and enhance the specialized care required by the individual, as in the case of a medical diagnosis of Arnold-Chiari malformation, which consists of different hindbrain defects probably unrelated to each other; however, the importance that the proper nursing method to use for carrying out the sequence and evolution of the person, and care given to the patient having neurological sequelae as a theoretical framework and benchmark for nursing in this issue, just as with the model of Dorothea Orem, used to provide the specialized care and get the maximum benefit of the agent, identifying deviations from the universal requirements for the development and health of the person according to the degree of commitment, where a specialized care plan that identifi es self-care demands is defi ned to set the nursing system to use in accordance with the said theoretical.
