Intellectual disability consists of alterations in the functionality of basic psychological processes as a result of dysfunctions in the nervous system. They can be assessed through neuropsychological evaluations. The neuropsychological diagnosis must be supported by results of psychometric tests and behavioral observations. Case studies allow to explain the bases of a problem from which the researcher can become an expert in the area of knowledge proposed. The analysis of the evaluation of two clinical cases with intellectual disability is presented. The instruments used were: Clinical history, “NEUROPSI Breve en Español” (NEUROPSI Brief in Spanish). Behavioral observations were made in interaction sessions and an Electroencephalogram (EEG) was performed. Both cases presented difficulties in neuropsychological processes of orientation, attention, memory, language, executive functions and motor skills. The description and analysis of individual cases allow us to design neuropsychological rehabilitation programs for the clinical intervention of patients.
