Social representation (RS) that the nursing care (PAE) process has the professional nurses

Introduction: SR, is an organized body of knowledge, a psychic cognitive activity, thanks to the quality of people make their physical, social reality intelligible, and the way in which they integrate a daily group, surgically real meanings to different objects or situations ; It constitutes a means of understanding concrete realities learned individually but is resignified in the social.1 Describe the SR that nurses have from the PAE; attends to the interest of recognizing its meaning in professional practice. Objective: analyze the SR that the professional nurses have on the PAE. Material and methods: qualitative study, conducted on 15 nurses; information gathering was by semi-structured interview; The theory of Social Representation is adopted as a theoretical-methodological framework for the analysis of results.1 Results: analysis of the first category: 1. (De) conceptualization of the SAP in the care practice; Subcategories: as their own method of care and as a means of professional identity. Conclusions: the PAE as the central nucleus of SR among professional nurses has a strong association in objectification; because you have the concept of PAE learned in the classroom; nevertheless, in the anchorage it suffers a deconceptualization by not identifying it as its own methodology of care or means of professional identity.
